40 songs for a Grand Entrance
Making an entrance at your reception has become one of the most anticipated moments of a wedding reception. It’s the one time the bride and groom can feel like A-List celebrities or a championship sports team. Think about it- you are formally announced by the DJ, you walk hand in hand into a room filled with people who love you, cameras are flashing, friends and family are clapping and cheering and a great song is pumping throughout the reception hall. What a moment!!
This entrance should be fun and exciting and the right reception entrance song is key. It has to be a party starting, stadium worthy song that announces that Mr. and Mrs. ______ has arrived!
Some things to consider when picking out a good reception entrance song
Do you want something old school or something current?
Something with lyrics or just an instrumental?
Listen to your song entirely to make sure there are no explicit lyrics.
Do you want special lighting? Fog or Bubble Machine?
How do you want to be announced- Bride and Groom? Mr. & Mrs. or your names?
When you’re picking a song- keep in mind that you’re only going to walk in for a small portion of that song (approximately a minute) so make sure to choose the best section of the track and tell your DJ when to start it or choose a song that starts out strong in the first 30 seconds.
