Wedding inspiration boards
While I’ve envisioned hundreds of mandaps and reception color palettes and decor for weddings through the years, our reception venue was not one that I had ever thought of. So I find myself in uncharted territory- I’m starting from scratch and I don’t know what I want for my wedding reception. I’m am going to include you on my journey as a bride (if you haven’t already noticed) from my wedding timeline to meetings with my vendors to helping me choose my wedding lehenga. Before I post details from my meetings with Shagun, Prasang Decorators and Alankar, I would love your help and ideas on wedding colors. The hotel ballroom has a red and gold carpet, red window treatments, cream walls with gold accents and a sky blue ceiling. Shaadi Bazaar readers, here are some pictures that I gathered from our pinterest board, what do you think?
As you can see, I’m kind of all over the place. I’ve even thought of having blue flowers too. I’m in need of some help. Let me know which one if any you like, or go to our pinterest page and add a comment with a new color palette.
Ugh red and gold carpet with red treatments is a slight clash with the muted purples/plums … although I really like the muted purple look.. it looks very elegant but i feel like a small splash of color with a blue/white or something sparkly would make for a nice accent to the muted palette. I’m thinking maybe a muted red/gold/white or cream color theme would go perfectly with the carpet
