Manoj Agarwal and Monika and Nidhi’s Bridal Lehengas from Lakme Fashion Week
On the fourth day of LFW 2017, Monica and Nidhi presented a line that was exquisitely feminine, without conforming to the norm. Georgette, tulle, organza, satin and crepe were the fabrics chosen to construct this mystical labor of love which was a nod to the Victorian Era with a contemporary twist. The billowing lehengas were paired with well-tailored corsets, cholis, cropped tops with elongated sleeves and capes detailed with feathers, hints of lace, frill detailing and fringes. The collection had all the elements of perfect polished romantic bridal looks in colors from salmon pink, colonial blue, rich creams and jade greens.
If you are not familiar with the name Manoj Agarwal, let us bestow this iconic collection full of heritage details from Rajput and Mughal eras upon you. His bridal collection was an artistic homage to historical monuments inspired by royal architecture. Utilizing fabrics such as raw silk and tulle adorned with subtle embroidery motifs in pastel hues appeared on a color palette of crimson, ink blue and brown along with a touch of red for that bridal look.
