Mechanics Hall Bengali Wedding

This Hindu Jewish wedding took place at the historic Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts. David was able to capture heartwarming pictures of the couple at their first look before the ceremony. Jhilam was radiant in her red and gold sari against the New England foliage. We can’t forget the fun pictures of the bridal party before the wedding ceremony and during the baraat. Come back this afternoon for the vibrant colored reception!
Your favorite moment: I think the most memorable moment was my ceremony entrance on the piri carried by my cousins. It was the first moment I saw everyone I love, in one place in front of me, smiling and crying. It took my breath away.
Advice for future brides: The conflict that comes along with wedding planning is normal. It’s the first time you as a couple and your families have a detailed project to do together and that takes thought, negotiation, and compromise. It also takes the understanding that you can’t make everyone perfectly happy with every decision. If you take the time to talk things out rather than brush it under the rug, it helps your relationship with your spouse, in-laws, and family in the future. It allows you to work things out earlier rather than later in your life.
Also, I would recommend a honeymoon as soon as you can after the wedding, even if it’s for 2-3 days in a secluded little spot. It allows you and your new spouse to absorb the whole event, and to reminisce and relax together. It was nice to know I would get to rest after such an intense event.
