Indian Fusion Wedding
After the beautiful Indian ceremony at the Downtown Boston Hyatt, Renuka and Kevin got ready for their second wedding ceremony. Renuka had her white wedding dress hanging on a custom made hanger with her new last name (we think this is must have for every bride)! Not only did the bride and groom change, but the whole bridal party, as well as their parents changed out of their Indian clothes into a second bridal party look for the second ceremony. Renuka and Kevin thought of every detail for their fusion wedding while Carrie Pellerin Photography captured them. How are you combining cultures for your fusion wedding?
Thoughts on your wedding day: I had gone the whole day without crying but it all of a sudden hit me while my dad was walking me down the isle for our American ceremony. I think it was the symbolism of my dad giving me away that made me a little bit teary because we have always been very close. Kevin and I said our own vows during the American ceremony which is what I spent whatever spare minutes I had in the day being a little nervous about but it ended up being perfect. I was also a little nervous about kissing at the end of the ceremony because Indians don’t usually do that but I think it was ok!
Anyone you would like to personally thank: We would like to personally thank our parents (Dhar, Usha, Bob & Beth) for raising us with such care and support that allowed us to find love in each other and also for giving us the best day of our lives. We would also like to thank our AMAZING wedding party for being such good sports about our wedding even though the majority of them are not Indian, we had such a great time and most of that is attributed to them. We would like to thank our guests too, so many of our close family and friends traveled from far and near to be with us on our day and it made us feel honored and loved beyond words. Lastly, we want to give a huge thank you to our vendors and to the Hyatt because without them our day would not have happened!
