Wedding Planning Classes
The Boston Marriott Long Wharf is celebrating the season of holiday engagement with the launch of a Bridal Bootcamp series, beginning January 19, 2012. For the 2.4 million couples who marry in the United States each year*, this complimentary, on-going event series will eliminate prenuptial jitters and make walking down the aisle as easy as the bouquet toss.
Each Bridal Bootcamp class will include complimentary sips and bites from Waterline restaurant and focus on a unique aspect of the planning process as Host and Certified Wedding Planner Andrea Murphy arms soon-to-be brides and grooms with tools and tips for planning a dream wedding. To sweeten the deal, one lucky couple at every class will win a free weekend getaway to the Boston Marriott Long Wharf. The 2012 Bridal Bootcamp tour will include:
- Weddings 101 (Jan. 19): Newly engaged couples can start the planning process with this introduction that will offer access to a panel of top local planners, who will share their personal secrets to success and guide guests along the road to bridal bliss. Featured planners will include Rachael Gross, owner of lolagraceEVENTS and voted “Boston’s Best Wedding Planner” by the Improper Bostonian, and Edna Dratch-Parker, Owner of EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design and recipient of BizBash’s “Social Event Planner of the Year” award
- Passionate Planning (Feb. 2): In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, this class will focus on infusing the wedding day with touches of romance, from stunning sweets displays to pre-honeymoon escapes. Special guest and in-house Romance Expert David Sargent will offer insider tips for discovering Boston’s most romantic points.
- Spring into Color (March 8): Couples will spring forward with a class dedicated to the vibrancy of color. Featured guests will include representatives from local party rental companies, who will offer expert advice for how to wrangle color to create striking décor, from custom linens to dramatic chargers.
“Engagement should be an exciting time and we are thrilled to launch this one-stop shop that will make the planning process seamless and stress-free for Boston couples,” said Andrea Murphy, certified wedding planner at the Marriott Boston Long Wharf. “Bridal Bootcamp classes will be the perfect opportunity to meet top local vendors, share ideas and feel inspired.”
Bridal Bootcamp classes are free of charge and will take place in the Private Dining Room of Waterline restaurant, located inside the Boston Marriott Long Wharf. Guests must reserve a seat in advance by contacting Joy Josey at (617) 227-0800, ext 6594 or Joy.Josey@marriott.com.
