Muslim Wedding
We are back today with a gorgeous wedding shot by Timeless Lens Photography. The first wedding event, the holud (haldi) ceremony, took place at the Marriott Hotel in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Shagun Event Decorators and Event Planners worked with Farah to help her vision of red, orange and yellow wedding colors with pops of green become an experience for all their guests. All the guests put a bit of turmeric paste on the wedded couple’s face. It’s more of a fun cultural tradition than anything else. The paste is intended to cleanse the skin, and beautify and “prettify” the couple before the official wedding ceremony. Guests then feed the couple a bit of sweets (traditional kinds, brownies, or cookies), as a wish for a sweet future together.
