Karl Lagerfeld presented his pre-Fall/Winter 2012 Collection last week, some of you may have heard the “Paris meets Bombay” as the description by the press. Chanel created ornate jewelry for the collection, everything from bindhis, tikkas, necklaces to nose rings all reflected Indian roots. Chanel tweed suits had Indian inspired beadwork and jewels to embellish the pockets and collars. The signature tweed jackets were seen paired with silk dhoti style bottoms. The Rajasthani inspired collection has hints of the days when Maharajas ruled and woman wore large delicate jewels.
Enough with my descriptions, we have two videos to share with you. The first is an in depth look at the making of the collection. The glass work, the hand stitching that goes into crafting these luxury goods, the hands that make each stone that goes into creating all the jewels.

The second is a video from the actual show. The ambiance of the show was exquisite and could inspire wedding decor! Just imagine Chanel inspired wedding decor! The creme carpets and linens with tall candelabras along the tables silver serving trays laden with mouth watering bites made it fit for royalty. The decadence displayed on the tables with the guests was matched by models when they began walking through the room. Take a look and let us know what you think!
