Priyanka and Digant’s Palace wedding in Jaipur, India

Indian Wedding at a Palace

Priyanka and Digant traveled from Delhi to Jaipur to have their wedding celebrations at Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur.  They worked with Events Bistro to create their lovely outdoor wedding celebration.  From the baraat complete with a band and an elephant to Priyanka’s couture Sabyasachi bridal lehenga, you are not going to want to miss a single detail!

Where did you get your wedding inspiration from: As cliched as it may sound, I always wanted to get married in a palace and i’m glad that dream came true. It also went hand in hand with us consciously wanting a small wedding with just close friends and family and so it was – believe it or not, we didn’t stand on any stage and went from the 35 minute pheras, straight to the bar!! I also loved being taken away in our vintage ride – a 1928 Ford Model

What was your bridal clothing inspiration: My style has always been understated and colours just make me happy!!! I wanted to look ethereal yet elegant but more so just ME! Starting with the most important function – the wedding! I met up with Sabyasachi and I didn’t really like anything off the shelf but he showed me a single panel of a bridal lehnga from his new collection which was inspired by Raja Ravi Varma’s painting and I was literally sold! It had an antique look and pearls coupled with the fresh colours – rose pink, orange and teal with hints of blues and greens and golds, I loved the detailing. Although he wanted to give me a jade blouse, I literally fought for a teal coloured one, I think I was having a bridezilla moment there hehe!
