Indian Fusion Wedding in Danvers, MA

Simanta & Brian’s Indian fusion wedding was captured by Art & Memories wedding photographer Dyuti Majumdar.  The Indian Fusion wedding took place on one of those bright, cloudless August days. The wedding decor and mandap was set up by the waterfront at the Danversport Yacht Club.  The Indian fusion ceremony took place with 200 of  Simanta and Brian’s closest friends and family.

Keep reading about the day in Simanta’s own words:

“My bridesmaids wore various light-colored saris and bindis, while the groomsmen wore cream-colored pajama kurtas with alternating light-blue and maroon scarves. Brian rode a horse into the fusion wedding with his high-school groomsmen playing dhols and drums as the baraat, and my mother and father walked me down the isle to “Tere Orr.” Brian and I were so thrilled that all of our friends, no matter what their background, got into the spirit of the Indian fusion wedding and wore Indian attire (saris, pajama kurtas, salwar kameezes, and so on). Brian and his groomsmen even got together to coordinate a Bollywood dance to a popular song from the movie Mohabbatein, which was a hit with the guests (and me)! We played both Indian and American songs, and we served both Indian and American cuisine during our fusion wedding. In the end, we wanted everyone to have a great time, and from the pictures that Dyuti took, it was certain that they had.”

Favorite Wedding Photo: It’s hard to choose because Dyuti captures so many great one, but I love the one of me and Brian walking down the isle together after the ceremony with our hands up in the air, with petals being thrown at us. The look of excitement on our and everyone’s faces is just so natural. I also love the ones of my mom and dad dancing together. It is just the best evidence that they were having the best time.
