Indian Couture Week: Bridal Looks part 2

India Wedding Clothes 2014

India Couture Week is over and we have collected more pictures of potential Indian wedding clothes for you to go through. Manish Malhotra, Gaurav Gupta, Sulakshana Monga are the Indian designers for today’s Indian Couture week recap.

There is an element of antique in the Indian wedding outfits from Manish Malhotra’s latest collection. Tradition transcends into simple elegance in this Indian bridal collection. Kashmiri zari work and embroidery has been used to embellish the bridal outfits in Manish Malhotra’s ‘Portraits’. The balance within the outfits was hard to miss there were plain tops paired with heavily embroidered lehengas. There were also bridal lehengas with a matching blouse that carried a traditional motif.

The ramp was lit up with dim lanterns to showcase Indian Couture week design’s. We can’t forget to mention the groom’s clothing from this wedding clothes collection. The men were dressed in loose pajamas and bandhgala sherwani’s with Kashmiri work.

Alia Bhatt walked down the ramp in a red full-sleeved choli with a tie-up dori behind. She also wore a red lehenga that had a flare and golden embroidery. She wore no jewelry and carried a completely sheer dupatta.. Accompanying her was Aditya Roy Kapoor who was dressed in wide bottom pajamas and a cream colored bandhgala.

Clad in a strapless ivory gown with beautiful embellished cape, Shraddha Kapoor Gaurav Gupta’s creation included ephemeral silhoutetes and draping. The Indian designer made use of beautiful palettes including sanguine blue, seismic red, white and gold at India Couture Week. But he did play with the sari dress and the lehenga ballgown showcasing Gaurav’s brilliance. These pre-draped sarees and lehenga gowns would be a comfortable option for an Indian wedding reception outfit.
